Yum. Planted these bushes years ago, and they're finally producing enough for my cereal.
Sunset over the Warren.
This is what happens when @joesutphin comes over and you ask him to sign your wall.
Happy Father's Day, Dad. Preached his first sermon when he was sixteen and didn't quit telling the story of Jesus for 50 years. Now he's retired and he still can't help himself, filling in at churches on the weekends. I'm grateful for him for so many things, but that commitment to the gospel, to his calling, is way up at the top of the list. He always called himself a preacher, and a few years ago I decided he was more than that. "Pastor" is a better word. This is a picture of what he has been to me and my siblings, and his church community, for all of his life. Thanks, Dad.
So nice to see Sarah (@readaloudrevival) in California. She's such a supporter of so many of my fellow @therabbitroom writers, I kind of want to perpetually high five her. #greathomeschoolconvention
Setlist for tonight's show at the California #greathomeschoolconvention. Just like stories and songs, they always change once you get going.
This September marks 20 years since the passing of my songwriting hero. We're commemorating it with a note-for-note performance of what I think is Rich's finest album--along with a bunch of other songs and stories. Reed Arvin, Rich's producer, is providing the string score, @benshive is the band leader, @andygullahorn and Jill Phillips and a host of other awesome folks will be there. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Central.
